LASER SKIN & WRINKLE RESURFACING

Palomar Fractional laser resurfacing is a series of treatments, usually four, used to gently resurface the skin. The laser penetrates deep to the dermis for effective long-term results. The non-ablative laser approach stimulates quick healing in the dermis, while leaving the epidermis intact. This is used for fine lines, sun damage, pigmentation, acne scarring, traumatic scars, stretch marks and general facial resurfacing. The series of treatments are completed at 3-6 week intervals and the desired results are seen over the next few months as the skin is healing and changing.

LASER HAIR REDUCTION

Laser hair reduction is a very popular and successful treatment for unwanted facial or body hair. This treatment uses light technology to stop the hair growth at the hair follicle. Multiple treatments are generally needed for any given area to include 3-5 treatments to reach a 75 percent or greater reduction in hair growth. The ideal candidate is one with dark coarse hair and the lightest natural skin color possible. Skin that is tanned cannot undergo hair reduction at that time. The treatments are scheduled at 4-6 week intervals and only shaving or trimming the hair is allowed between procedures. Patients experience minimal discomfort during the procedure with minimal side effects of redness and stinging.

LASER VEIN TREATMENT

Lasers are used to treat multiple vascular imperfections, including small facial veins and angioimas, as well as Rosacea and birthmarks. Either the IPL or Varia laser is used to target the vascular lesion/area. It is performed in a series of several treatments once every 4-5 weeks to reach the desired level of correction. Patients experience minimal discomfort during treatment. Short term side effects may include redness, stinging, swelling and possibly bruising.

IPL PHOTOREJUVENATION

IPL - INTENSE PULSED LIGHT PHOTOREJUVENATION has been used successfully for many years to treat sun damaged skin, as well as visible facial veins and vascular marks. The IPL filters light from different parts of the spectrum with each band of light having a wavelength that is ideal for different treatments, such as sunspot removal and vessel clearance. Multiple treatments may be necessary to reach the desired result and side effects may include mild sunburn-like sensation, possibly accompanied by some minor redness or swelling.
